Contractor J B RINEY & Co Ltd has been named the winner of the 2004 considerate roadworks scheme organised by Westminster City Council.

J B Riney & Co Ltd, working for THUS (formally Scottish Telecom), was recognised for its works in Pall Mall. A compact site in the middle of the carriageway, supervisor Liam Gallagher and his gang impressed the judges with the general tidiness of the site given the working conditions and the comprehensive and clear signing and guarding. Gallagher has worked for Riney for nearly six years and Westminster says his sites have always been well supervised and maintained.
