The Corporation of London decided to improve this famous market place and at the same time restore its traditional appearance.

The key factor in this was the granite paving set into the main carriageway to restore the cobbled effect as originally laid.

This work, along with a range of general paving, was carried out by J.B. Riney & Co Ltd to the complete satisfaction of the client, and remains an attractive feature to this day.
